The Volvo Ocean Race is life at the extreme. A global race showcasing stories of human strength, resilience and superlative performance. It is performance at the limit — the ultimate test for professional sailors, the ultimate platform for global brand exposure. 13Fifty will be the first American team to claim the top prize in Ocean Racing. Looking for inspiration in America’s Armed Forces, Team 13Fifty hopes to instill nostalgia and patriotism while also reflecting strength and structure. They had specific uses for a unique horizontal and circular logo, which will be used interchangeably throughout their media collateral and race day assets.


In preparation for sponsorship, the 13Fifty Racing Team was in need of print collateral to tell their story. Starting from the ground up and analyzing the market, we developed a pitch book that could be competitive within the ocean racing sport. Delivering precise statistics combined with airy photo driven design, this book is a page turner, delivering a critical part of the 13Fifty story on every page.
